The wisdom of Rachel: Things I've learned throughout my life

~ALWAYS make sure your camera battery is completely full before shooting a big event such as a wedding reception..
~It's okay to have empty Friday and Saturday nights every now and then. It gives you time to unwind and understand yourself a little better.
~No boy is perfect. They're gonna let you down, break your heart, and drive you completely insane at times. But if you find a boy that's worth keeping around, you've gotta forgive him for all the dumb stuff he does, because he's still learning and growing, just like you.
~A simple carnation can be just as beautiful as a dozen red roses. It also lasts longer :)
~Don't go outside in winter with wet hair. It will freeze.
~Before you whine and carry on about somethings you think you've lost, actually take the time to look for it!
~Don't leave a 12 year old boy alone with a pocket knife.
~Every dish is better when you add rice.
~Always keep a spare car key.
~If you have fair skin, don't lay in the grass without sunscreen!
~If you're having a bad day, fake a smile until it becomes real.
~If you're feeling left out and ignored, odds are you're the one ignoring the people around you.
~If you're feeling bad about the way you look, go walk around lagoon or Walmart and stare at people. You'll walk out with a new found confidence!
~warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies make the worst days better instantly better.
~You can save a ton of money on kitchen and bathroom cleaners just by using a mix of water, vinegar and baking soda. It kicks butt!
~Actually read your text books
~Quiet moments without music, TV, or talking are good for the soul.
~Just because thick black eye liner looks really good on one girl, doesn't mean it's gonna look good on you!
~Modest is the hottest.
~Everything you see and hear becomes a part of you. So stay out of bad situations, and make the most of every good opportunity that comes your way.
~Love is a funny thing. Sometimes it can come softly and predictably and you can end up marrying your long time best friend/first kiss/high school sweet heart.. etc.. or it can come suddenly and you can fall for some one after a few days, a week, or a month. You may not meet the right person till your mid 30s! But however it happens, it will be wonderful because you'll be with that person for the rest of your life and beyond. So let whatever happens, happen! :)
~The gospel of Jesus of Christ is true and perfect. But the people in the church are not perfect. Just remember  how you feel when the spirit touches your heart, and don't let little things ruin your testimony.
~Don't compare yourself to others!! I struggle with this a ton. We all have our own individual skill and talents. And we are all beautiful and can achieve anything we set our minds too.

I'm just gonna leave you all with a little quote from Audrey Hepburn: "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'm possible."

Well that's all I got for now, I hope I've said something that's worth reading.

Later!
<3~Rachel
